In our work to create a fairer, healthier Scotland, NHS Health Scotland recognises the fundamental role that wider social determinants of health have to play in improving the mental health and wellbeing of all of Scotland. That is why we were partners in the Self Management and Social Prescribing National Advisory Group. Social prescribing is an important means of supporting the self management of a range of mental health problems.
